I am happy with the truth.

I PATIENTLY ACCEPT ALL THINGS. (Had to emphasize that for me!)

I always trust.

I always hope.

I always remain strong.

I never end.

This is based on 1 Cor. 4-8a. This is who I want to be: love. Since God is love, I guess I need more God!

I mainly got it so I could listen to the Bible when I got ready in the morning.

Obviously, I must spend a lot of time in the bathroom doing my hair and make-up!

I’ve already listened to three books of the Bible: Romans, Acts, and Matthew. Crazy!!!

No matter how much I try to find time to read, my progress is usually about a half a chapter per month. Hurrah for audio and iPods!

I’ve been hearing songs that have walked with me for many years, helping me through good and bad times.

As songs play, I remember high school, college, and most recently Mom’s death…all through the lens of my faith. It’s a walk down a road of growth and struggles, falling and getting back up, failures and victories.

But most of all, listening to these songs reminds me that it’s my faith that has given me strength to stand back up and smile.

WooHoo just came on…I think it’s time to go back to work. WooHoo!

I think about when I was little… I don’t remember worry being a part of my life. I don’t remember having many concerns. I guess I just trusted my parents to take care of everything.

Is this what God means when he says childlike faith?

If only we could go outside and play all day. Maybe it would help?

To help me figure this out… I looked  up divine providence. The definition is the protective care of God. Trust the protective care of God.

Lord, help me to do that every moment of every day.

A nice thought to chew on when life can be mundane. We can’t even imagine what God has prepared for us. Is there anything that you can’t imagine here on earth? Anything that brings true wonder to you?

Get ready for God.

Cold. Damp. And it’s been that way for a while here in St. Louis.

And yet, I smile.

God is good. I am thankful.

I have an awesome husband that still likes me (and loves me), even when I’ve been an emotional roller-coaster this year.

I have a warm home to go to at the end of the day.

I know Jesus as my friend and Lord.

I have more things that I want to do than time to do them in. I am never bored.

I like myself…most of the time.

I can listen to my iPod at work (and I own an iPod as part of my iPhone).

God gave me a love for words.

I know a lot of cool people.

I honestly don’t need anything for Christmas.

God has a plan for my life.

I had started a “Thankful” journal, and I have a big one to add to my list today.

My company is moving to a new office building this week, and I was supposed to be off one day due to the move. However, because of some inspection issues, I am going to get off two days this week. This is an unexpected and wonderful blessing! I’m grateful for it!

Did I mention this was paid time off? I guess this makes up for all those snow days when I’d watch the school closings anxiously on TV, hoping that we would get the day off from school, only to find out that we had to go to school anyway…

–being able to wake up at 5 a.m. on Saturday without feeling sick (I grew up having allergy/sinus problems every morning until God healed me)

–Time with family (Brett’s on Saturday and mine on Sunday)

–Gifts and cards from friends and family (I received three cards and a gift this week from friends–they all blessed me)

–Two years of marriage with my sweetheart, Brett. Our anniversary was Monday.

–New chairs that will be coming soon!

–No big writing assignments in class–I’m so glad to have a breather.

–Pastor Jeff and St. Louis Family Church (it’s fun to go to church, and it helps me every time I go!)

–prayer. God cares enough to listen to us.

–international food. We had a good time today feasting on food at the International Festival at Tower Grove Park with Peggy and Nicole.

–favor at work and help from talented writers, videoeditors, and audio visual and staging experts.

–our new bed that should be coming this week.

–my parents, who care to listen to all my stories and check out whatever I want to show them. They give me excellent quality time.

–Natalie getting to go to college; we’re praying she has an excellent time and learns a lot.

–the Gospel Music channel: we’ve been Tivoing some really great gospel and Christian music concerts.
